Carl & Melessia have been employed successfully for the last 20 years with Fairview Mobile Wash Inc. doing pressure and steam cleaning. In July, 2002,, Carl had a severe compound fracture of his lower leg and was afraid that he would not be physically able to continue the pressure washing business. They began praying and asking the Lord. Did he want them to continue with this business or was there another direction of income he had planned for them? Carl noticed an add for embroidery machines and it kind of jumped out at him. He began to research equipment and procedures for this business. Melessia thought hed lost his mind at first, but began to pray and seek Gods will. They decided to call around and see if there was actually business out there to support their idea.
One of the first places of business they called was the Christian Motorcyclists Association head quarters. In fact, they were in the process of getting bids on embroidering an item. Just to shorten the story, Carl and Melessia had over 2000 shirts sitting in their garage from this organization to be embroidered and hadnt even purchased the equipment to stitch them with, much less know how to start.
They were confident, then, it was Gods direction for them to get into the embroidery field. They quickly purchased four Amaya machines and depended on Gods help to accomplish stitching this large order. Their children, then ages 13 and 16, helped clip, pack and box up the orders as mom and dad stitched. From that point on, the scripture, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13, came to life at the Donaldson home. |
Word spread in the area of the new embroiderers in town and has kept Melessia busy stitching. Carls leg has healed and he is back to pressure washing again.
Melessia and Carls lives are a walking and living testimony of what the Lord can and will do, if only you totally depend on him.
